Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
SharpFace (the "App") is developed and operated by SharpFace ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use SharpFace, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have.

2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect the email address and display name associated with it. You can sign in with Sign in with Apple (your email may be an Apple private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email") or with Google Sign-In. You may also use SharpFace as a guest without creating an account; in that case we assign an anonymous identifier to your device/session instead of collecting an email.
User ID. We assign an internal user identifier to your account to operate the App and associate your data with your profile.
Community content you choose to share. If you use SharpFace's community features, the chat messages you send and any photos you choose to upload to the community feed are sent to and stored on our servers, and are visible to other users. Do not post anything to the community you do not want other users to see.
Country. The country you select for your community profile is stored and may be shown alongside your community activity.
Purchase history. We (through our payment processor) keep a record of your subscription purchases and Diamonds purchases so we can grant you the correct entitlements and provide purchase support.
Analytics and usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the App (e.g., screens viewed, features used, exercises completed) to understand usage and improve the product.
Crash and diagnostic data. We collect crash reports and diagnostic logs to identify and fix bugs.
Camera and photo library access. SharpFace requests camera and photo library permissions solely so you can capture or select your own progress photos and, if you choose, community photos. We do not access your camera or photo library for any other purpose, and we do not scan your photo library.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
Before & After progress photos stay on your device. SharpFace lets you take "Before & After" progress photos to track your visual progress over the 30-day program. These photos are stored only locally on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers, we never have access to them, and they are not part of the community feed. This is separate from any photo you deliberately choose to post to the community, which is uploaded as described in Section 2.
No third-party advertising. SharpFace does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not request or use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission because we do not perform this kind of cross-app/cross-site tracking.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account and let you sign in across devices
- Operate the community features: chat, leaderboard, and your community profile (including your selected country)
- Process and manage your subscription and Diamonds purchases, and restore purchases when requested
- Track your program progress (exercises completed, streaks, etc.)
- Analyze usage to understand how the App is used and to improve it
- Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues
- Detect, investigate, and act on violations of our Terms of Service, including our zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior
- Respond to your support requests
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., purchase/tax records)
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK / Switzerland users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide your account, the program, and subscription/Diamonds features
- Legitimate interests — to secure the App, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate community content, and improve the App through aggregated analytics
- Consent — where required by applicable law (e.g., certain analytics or optional features); you may withdraw consent at any time
- Legal obligation — to keep records required by law (e.g., transaction records)
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. Under the CCPA/CPRA, we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by law.
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, specifically:
- Hosting and database infrastructure (Supabase) — stores account data, program progress, and community content
- RevenueCat — manages and processes subscription and Diamonds in-app purchases
- Apple and Google — provide Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In authentication
- Apple — processes all in-app purchases and subscription billing directly
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of SharpFace, our users, or others.
7. Community Content and Retention
Chat messages and photos posted to the community feed are visible to other users while they remain in the feed, and are automatically removed from the visible feed as it updates over time. After removal from the visible feed, a copy may be retained for a limited period for moderation, safety, and abuse-prevention purposes before being deleted.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (Section 9), we delete your account and profile data, except where we are required to retain limited information (e.g., purchase/transaction records) to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
9. Deleting Your Account and Data
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time, directly in the App:
Settings > Account > Delete Account
Deleting your account removes your profile, community content association, and account data from our systems (subject to the legal retention noted in Section 8). If you signed in with Sign in with Apple, your Apple authentication token is revoked as part of account deletion. Before & After progress photos stored locally on your device are not affected by account deletion and can be removed by deleting them from your device or uninstalling the App.
If you are unable to use the in-app option, contact us at sharpface.app@icloud.com and we will process your deletion request.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
SharpFace is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at sharpface.app@icloud.com and we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and the digital age of consent in your country is higher than 13 (as is the case in some EU member states under GDPR), your child should not use SharpFace without your consent.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Obtain a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- (California residents, CCPA/CPRA) Know what personal information is collected, request deletion, request correction, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is no "opt-out of sale" needed.

14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
